Spring Time!!

Just a bit of fun with a hat that I picked up for a dollar from Target. Here's the before pic:

After a bit of ribbon, beads and some flower shaped beads:

And for kicks and giggles, because it's not proper without I also found a little pair of tea gloves! The little bunnies I added.
FUN! FUN! FUN! I can't wait to take pics of my granddaughter with these on.

I have more heels done for the Heels! class. And I have a full sock completed for the "Build Your Sock" class. Things are coming together! I'll be ready to teach these classes soon. Here's the completed sock.

It's Time!

Time to get serious, time to start teaching!

I've been knitting since I was 9 years old. Taught by a most favorite babysitter, she would put my brothers to bed and let me stay up late learning to make my stitches using Red Heart Wool in the most reddest shade of red ever. I loved stitching even then, when I would get to the end of my ball of yarn, I would rip out all my work, wind up the ball, cast on and go to the end of my ball. This would continue until we returned stateside, about a year or so later.

Now many years, and many teachers, and many classes later I'm ready to branch out and start teaching this fine art to others.

Class Number One that I'm working on is for now called "Heels!". Here's a photo of two of the class samples. I plan to have a total of 9 knit up. This class is to learn about the different heels, and which would work before the wearer of the socks.  Class includes hand outs of the different heels and heel flaps.

Class Number Two is called "How to build a better Sock for You". Sock pic is coming. Handout is a worksheet of how to in knitting socks to suit the knitter or giftee. This would be a good follow up class from the Heels class.
